Nothing critical happens. The ATM never stores funds or private keys. The value exists only on the stablenote you printed.
What maintenance is needed?
ATM maintenance is minimal. Print at least once every six months to keep the cartridge healthy. Stablenotes need no upkeep, only dry safe storage.
Does storage expire?
As long as the stablenote and its private key remain readable, access to the funds on the blockchain remains possible indefinitely.
